Members Shopping Members

The West Suburban Chamber encourages everyone to SHOP LOCAL.  Whether they are a member of our Chamber or not, we love to see money being spent at local businesses.

With that said, our members do like using other members' businesses.  Sometimes this is because they know each other from Chamber events, but many times it's because they like supporting businesses who have the same values that they do.  Here are some testimonials from Chamber members who shopped at other Chamber members:

"Horton's Lighting provides top notch customer service.  I've experienced countless examples of this, but I'll relay my most recent:  I needed a new lighting fixture for a bathroom remodel project.  I walked to their service desk and was greeted by one of their many friendly staff members.  I confessed to him that I was a total novice at this and was overwhelmed by the choices available.  He patiently walked me through the process, showing me options that he would recommend given the style of our home and the layout of the bathroom.  He even emailed me pictures and descriptions so that I could share them easily with my wife who was at work that day.  He made the process so easy that we were able to make our selection within a few hours, without my wife even setting foot in the store.   These days, I can buy a product from countless online and brick & mortar retailers.  However, I don't have the time & energy to wade through the choices and wonder if I'm making a good decision.  I need a business I can trust.  One who offers quality products.  One who is knowledgeable about their products.  One who can educate me on the options and help me make a good purchase. "Member Keith Hill from Edward Jones offered to take Katherine and I out for lunch to welcome us both to the Chamber. We decided to go to Prasino on La Grange Road, which made me very excited because I love finding restaurants who serve natural and organic foods, and because they had just won the 'Excellence in Business' Award at our Seeds of Greatness Awards Dinner in April. Prasino didn't disappoint.  The interior is beautiful, the glasses are cool, the food was outstanding, and when I asked if I could substitute the honey mustard for something else (I'm not a fan of mustard), the waitress suggested another sauce that worked PERFECTLY. I can't wait to get back on a Wednesday night for their 'half off bottles of wine' special. Thanks to Keith for lunch, and Prasino for the exceptional meal."

Thanks to Cindy for her skill and creativity! I've paid considerably more for arrangements in the past, and none exceeded this one in attractiveness or quality. "I needed the rear suspension on my truck re-done quickly so that we could get our crews back on the road to service our customers.  I met Scott at a Business After Hours that he hosted a few months ago so I gave him a call.  Not only was he affordable, he got the work done on the same day I brought it in.   

I was so happy with the service that a week later I brought my wife's car into B & H before work and he had her new brakes installed by that afternoon.  The quick turnaround on both jobs was terrific.
