Business Assistance

The Chamber offers many free and inexpensive opportunities for you to market your business or organization, build your sales or increase your donations, and enhance the recognition of you personally.  There's a lot of truth to the statement that a message, repeated often, is eventually heard.  People need to hear your marketing message many times through a variety of media before they become familiar with your company or organization.  The West Suburban Chamber of Commerce and Industry (WSCCI) encourages you to use many marketing efforts that collectively build awareness of your business and your message.

E-Blasts

Every week the Chamber sends a “Shop Members” e-blast to a long list of Chamber members and decision makers.  By advertising in the Chamber’s “Shop Members” e-blast you will reach over 750 e-mail recipients.  It is cost effective and a bargain.  Call the Chamber at 708-387-7550 and ask us how you can gain the results you expect.

News Articles and Press Releases

Submit news articles that cover areas of your expertise or news occurring at your company.  The Chamber will publish as much as possible in the monthly newsletter.  It's FREE!  We want to help you influence others.  Even if you are not a polished writer, we will make sure you look like a professional.

Labels, Lists & Disks

Receive names of business representatives in the format you prefer: pressure sensitive mailing labels or a disk with relevant information.  Ask the staff at WSCCI about both.  The number is 708-387-7550.

Sponsorships

Receive multi-faceted exposure and associate your company with various Chamber programs and events by being a sponsor.  You will be recognized in all promotional material.  There definitely are sponsorship opportunities that will fit your business needs and your budget.  Please ask the Chamber for added details (708-387-7550).

Host a Business After Hours (BAH) or Breakfast

Showcase your facility and promote your products and services by hosting a Business After Hours (BAH) or Breakfast.  In the case of the BAH, you supply refreshments, food and prizes (if you would like), and we will handle the promotion.  All breakfasts are handled at a venue or catered at the Chamber.  As always, we will make it easy for you and your staff to host a very successful event.  Call us (708-387-7550) for more information.

Attend Events and Get Involved

By getting involved in the Chamber, you are expanding your circle of business acquaintances.  Many business people buy from people they know.  By attending events and being involved within the Chamber, you will gain the necessary “face time” to be well known by others.  Look at the Chamber's calendar of events, or refer to the updates that are included each month in the Chamber newsletter.  Information is always available be calling the Chamber at 708-387-7550.

Advertising

We produce a number of publications that offer low-cost advertising opportunities.  Each year we will publish a Regional Resource Guide that will provide valuable information to those who live and work in our communities.  We also publish an Annual Membership Directory, which is a reference tool used often by our members.  You may wish to advertise on the Chamber’s website or within the weekly “Shop Members” e-blast.  Please ask the Chamber for additional details by calling 708-387-7550.

Free Business Counseling

Free confidential counseling is now available to you on the 1st and 3rd Thursday of each month. The counselors are members of the Service Corp of Retired Executives (SCORE) - Chicago Charter, which is a partner of the US Small Business Administration.  SCORE’s purpose is to strengthen existing small businesses and improve the prospect of success for startup businesses.  If you are operating a small business or thinking about starting one, we urge you to include SCORE in the list of resources at your disposal.  Their job is not finished until you decide you no longer need their services.  Free, one hour sessions are held the 1st and 3rd Thursday each month at Harris Bank, 5200 S. La Grange Rd., LaGrange.  RESERVATIONS ARE REQUIRED.

SCORE Chicago has 117 volunteers and provides counseling and workshops in 31 location in the Chicago area. Visit www.scorechicago.org to schedule an appointment and see other services provided.

Employee Benefit - EAP Program

WSCCI has partnered with Perspectives to provide an EAP program, which is a very valuable chamber member benefit for your organization.  An Employee Assistance Program (EAP) supports employees and their families having personal issues.  The employee assistance program includes 24/7 phone and web access to counselors, information and resources. It also provides assistance with matters regarding legal affairs, finances, and the care of children, elders and pets.  An EAP is very affordable and always well received by employees.  By offering and EAP to your staff, you will see how Perspectives assists with decreasing absenteeism, increasing productivity and reducing accidents.  Please call the Chamber for additional information (708-387-7550).  The Chamber staff will refer you to the right contact person at Perspectives.
